On this exterior siding and roof replacement project in Lagrange, we went from cedar siding to new vinyl siding by Norandex. To add to the longevity of the exterior, the customer added aluminum soffit and fascia, and an LP Smartside trim package for the windows and frieze boards.
For the roof, we went with an architectural shingle from GAF. The timberline HDZ in Pewter grey color. The layout of the roof ridges was perfect to go with a continuous ridge vent, for maximum airflow in the attic space.
A couple notable features on the project were a custom metal standing seam roof under a window that was too close to the roofline, a new seamless gutter system with oversized downspouts, and lead boots to eliminate the maintenance a rubber flashing would have required.
